In my ink drawings, I work on the basis of concepts that the visual arts and music have in common, such as composition, time, texture, rhythm and different contrasts and tensions, among others. You could say that all these elements are combined in my work, through the use of what is now, yes, an exclusively musical term: counterpoint. In music, the assumption is that it refers to note against note. In my understanding of drawing, this proposes a relationship between elements in order to suggest a system of tensions and distensions.
